Student access, Success and Leadership Development

$2 million of the $7 million Achieving Dreams Campaign goal will provide direct support to help students become work ready and world ready.

We strive to strengthen Niagara’s workforce by providing bursaries to reduce the financial burden to pursuing education, and through scholarships to retain and attract the best and brightest in Niagara. Our Study Work Abroad and Leadership Development grants support the next generation of leaders, helping to keep our local economy moving forward.

Supporting Access to College

Bursaries help students overcome the financial barriers to pursuing a postsecondary education.

Donations help purchase assistive devices for students with special needs. In the 2014-15 academic year, 1,035 students self-identified with the College’s Centre for Students with Disabilities.

Helping Students Achieve Success

Donations fund scholarships that recognize academic excellence and encourage program completion.

Travel grants help make it possible for students to experience Study Work Abroad opportunities through international field studies, semester exchanges, an internship or co-op term abroad.

Grants make it possible for students to cover travel and accommodation costs related to their co-op placements in other parts of Ontario or Canada.

Opportunity funds established by donors help cover the cost of entering industry competitions to gain experience, confidence and recognition for achievements, such as marketing projects, business plans, digital photography, graphic design, films, video and more.

Developing Student Leaders

Donations fund opportunities for students to build their leadership skills by attending workshops and conferences endorsed by the College’s Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership.
