Foundation Board of Directors Member
Vic Kerschl is the Former CAO, City of Welland. He is a Toronto native, was educated as an urban planner, and worked in that capacity in various cities before coming to Welland as Planning Director in 1971. During his 30+ years with the City of Welland, Mr. Kerschl took on added roles as Economic Development commissioner and CAO until his retirement.
He has worked closely with a number of Niagara College administrators over the years and has a clear understanding of the important role of the College in the community. As a long time member and past president of the Rotary Club of Welland, Mr. Kerschl has been involved in various community oriented fundraising projects.
Vic joined the Foundation Board as a Director in 2002. He served nine years on the Board, including two years on the Foundation Executive as the Chair of the Board in 2008-09 and 2009-10. He played a vital role in the launch and success of the Building Futures campaign that raised $17.7 million. Vic donated countless hours to the work of the Foundation, and has always been a strong supporter of the College, working to raise its profile within the community and develop community partnerships.
